How do I connect Disgo 8000 to PC?

How do I connect the Disgo 8000 to the PC? I have tried with a standard USB cable (normal USB connections each end) but nothing happens and not shown on tablet or PC. I have USB debug app running. Do I need a certain cable or anything else?
Is there any other way to root this tablet?

Have you tried airdroid? Its on the market and is free, you connect to the PC via wifi, no cables to attach, try it

Thanks, it looks like a useful app for file transfers etc but don't think it will help me to root tablet with SuperOneClick which is why I need USB connection. Will give it ago anyway , thanks.
