MID7015A build 1.6a, Android 2.1 update 1, ROOTED.

How do I get rid of AppsLib. I renamed Appslib_58.apk to .bak, but it still shows the icon?

Also, if I make a backup with clockwork, does it overwrite the previous backup?

Thanks

When you make a backup it will not erase your previous backup. it will create another backup, so youll have your previous backup and current one. The easiest way to remove appslib is download System App remover from market...or if you have Root Explorer installed delete Appslib from the system/app folder and reboot

That's what I'm saying - I have no AppsLib.apk in my system/app folder yet my icon still exists.

What is the path to the backup? I'd like to delete it.

thanks

ok boot into clockwork mod and perform wipe dalvik-cache, under advanced setting , and also a clear cache partition . it wont delete your apps it looks like you still have some of it in memory...also delete the appslib.bak file
