How do you remove screen icons???

I have some redundant icons on my screen. They actually came redundant from first bootup. I have not been able to figure out how to remove them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have the SYTABEX7 unit.

Press and hold on the icon until the trash can shows, then drag to trash.

Am glad this was so simple. Been wanting one of these and the OP made it sound like there was some special method you had to use cuz it wasnt normal Android.
Scared me for a bit.

Plus, I also learned you use the same method to re-order the icons on the screen so I am very happy. But, I have to kick myself a little bit because there very inadequate manual did actually explain the procedure. I just never bothered to read it carefully enough until today when I was fumbling around for some other unrelated information.
