how to delete icon on home screen of Pandigital Novel 7" Multimedia?

Hello,
I have another question if you don't mind. I accidentelly added an icon to the home screen of the Pandigital Novel
7" Multimedia. Is there a way to delete the icon? Thank you for any help.

Long press the icon so it moves with your finger. Drag it to the trash can or Remove button at the top of the screen. If it is an app it will still be installed in the app drawer.

I could not find the trash can or remove button. Is there a way of having either the trash can or remove button show up?

It should appear automatically when you long press on the icon.

Are you running a custom launcher like ADW or something? What version of Android is it running?

I am not familiar with your specific tablet to know exactly how to do it.

That was going to be my next guess. I think Android 2.X has it at the bottom. For 3.X and 4.X on tablets it is at the top.
