There are a lot of ways.

Cable your tablet to the computer
Use a USB thumb drive.
Use a MicroSD card reader in your computer.
Use WIFI to access a shared drive on your computer. No cables, no extra devices, nothing but net!!!

But in every case you will need a file manager such as Es-File Explorer or File Manager HD.

so what your saying is i can not just drag them from my lappy to the a500 so how do i use these to put the stuff on Es-File Explorer or File Manager HD.

Just precisely what Games would you have on your laptop that would work on an Android Tablet?

Clue 1: The Acer is not Windows. Its not Mac.

If you want games you get them from the market, using the Market app already built into the tablet.

The first thing you install from the market is a file manager. There are dozens to choose from. I recommended two. They are free.
As to how to use those, visit their web pages (listed on the market links I posted) and they take you to help pages that will explain it all.

Music and Pictures can be dragged using the File Managers across your wifi to the appropriate directory on your tablet.

I would recommend you start by reading the manual since this is obviously your first Android Device.
