In case anyone was wondering, I have validated both with Huawei North America, and with a friend that speaks Han.

It is pronounced "Wa - way"

Mandarin is the standard way to say it. I think they just gave up on getting people to pronounce properly :D

It was fun attempting to ask for it over the phone at Best Buy!

What's the correct way to pronounce "Huawei"?

    Is it who-way or how-way?

    H'wah way

With wah rising in tone, as if saying it as you put your head up, ie second tone

It's an oxymoron as it translates to "magnificent service"

When I first received my Huawei Ascend from Cricket it took me a little bit to pronounce it correctly. I am taking a Mandarin college course and it still took me a minute. But according to my professor it is wah way.

I first heard how to pronounce it when I called them. WAH-way is how I heard it.
