The HTC Jetstream 4G LTE Android tablet (formerly known as the Puccini) will be officially launching on AT&T's network on September for a whopping $700 Bucks on-contract! Here's a refresher of the specs and a press release below:
    • 10.1-inch “HD” display
    • 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
    • 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash in back
    • Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) with HTC’s Sense user interface
    • AT&T will include the HTC Scribe pen at no cost for a limited time
What do you guys think? HTC makes some great products, but does this one warrant a price that is even more than the Motorola Xoom when it first launched?

Does anyone know what the screen resolution or PPI is for this new tablet? I know in the press release it mentions it has an HD display, but no actual resolution is defined, it doesn't even specify this on the official section for the HTC Jetstream on the AT&T website. I'm curious to know the answer to this.

It's most probably like the other similar tablets - 1280x800

Is 700 the price or it's life span in hours. it's a DOA if you ask me, no one in this hemisphere with a phone should buy this and why at&t is forcing us into two data plan..
they need to drop that no tethering and drop that price to $399 and reap the benefit...do they really have 4G or relying on T-Mo network is the question...

yeah most likely, give or take, would still be nice to have exact specs confirmed

Hey tumpy, good point, not to mention 4G overage fees can REALLY add up quick. To be honest, $35 for 3GB per month seems a bit steep to me. Personally I can easily go through that amount of data/bandwidth in 3-4 days or so, then again I spend more time online than the average person, but still. A more flexible & affordable data plan is essential.

HTC Tablets has been proven as the best tablets on the market, so this tablet worth more than 700$ because it has a wonderful configuration.

Not a chnce I'd pay $700 for this tablet...there's too many quality sub $400 tablets out now and AT&T is dreaming if they think anybody will bite...unless you're the guy that would buy it just so you can complain to all your friends how much you paid just so you can impress them. I'll stick with my Acer Iconia A500!
