Yes, you read that right, a 7-inch Android tablet is apparently coming forth from Huawei, and will be running Android 3.2, which apparently is a 7-inch optimization of Honeycomb. The Huawei tablet, the MediaPad, is set to launch with Flash 10.3, Twitter, Facebook and more built in along with a 1.3MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera for HD video recording. The device is only 0.4 inches thick, only 0.06 inches thicker then the Samsung Galaxy 10.1, and weighs in at just over a quarter of a pound. Huawei has said that they will begin launching in various markets in the 3rd quarter, but nothing concrete as of yet.

The video stated/showed 390 grams which converts to 13.76 ounces, so it is a bit over 3/4 of a pound, which is much more believable. 4 oz. would just about float away on a breeze spread over that large a surface, and probably have to be made of one of the in-development e-paper type materials - what a dream! ;)

Wonder if that HSDPA phone capability will fare any better with T-Mobile (probably AT&T?) than the first H7 that they shut down like a plague ship.

I would say that this late in the game and with the fact that JB is now the most current version, an upgrade to ICS won't be available unless someone other than Huawei develops it. If they intended the tab to have ICS, they probably would have released with it already the OS. Personally, I don't see a need for ICS. HC was a great OS for tabs and if this version was optimized for 7" tabs, this will be a great tab. The other thing that will be nice is that Adobe fully supports flash on HC, which means that you should be able to upgrade to the latest version.
