I am connected to my Wifi, but still not able to use the internet!?! any suggestions?

Hi, after waiting two whole weeks, i finally got my Coby Kyros Android Tablet 7012. I am ecstatic to finally have it, but i can not use the internet. I am connected, however, and it says i have signal...so what could be the problem?
i also tried to fix the problem by "forgetting" my wifi account and readding it, but i am still having the same problem.I can connect on my android phone though, and use that internet..

Thank you in advance for any feedback and possible answers you all may have. It is honestly greatly appreciated!!

Some routers have this problem. Try this first:
1. set an unprotect network (no password)
2. try WPA/WPA2 PSK with an 8 digits password
3. upgrade your rooter's firmware

D-Link routers are known to need un firmware upgrade to work.
