Iconia Tab A500 will not respond to touch

Hi, Glad to be here,
How can i find out how to fix the problem i am having with my (Acer Iconia Tab A500)
The unit starts up just fine but my fingers can't do anything to the screen, the screen just doesn't recognize touching anymore.
If i plug in the keyboard I can do things but can't touch.
Can you tell me how to fix this problem or where I can find a answer.
The unit is out of warranty so they Acer doesn't want to tell me anything.

Try unplugging your power supply from the A500. I have a non-Acer power supply that gives me the same problem that you are experiencing. Good luck.

Which OS is loaded? HC or ICS?

Was the unit dropped? You may have to open up your A500 and reseat the connector.

Are you doing a full reboot?

Do a factory reset and see what happens?
