I have an Acer A500 and am wondering, will the ICS update fix the A500's ability to run apps from the sd? To be more specific, I have the 16gb model and enjoy some of the games from Gameloft, which require some rather large files to be stored on the Acer's internal memory. I am wanting to know if the ICS update will allow me to move these 300+Mb files to the external sd and still be able to play the games, freeing up some of the internal memory. Thanks.

Nope, it is a Google decision not to support apps to SD in Honeycomb or ICS. Maybe at some point in the future they will allow the feature again but not under their last two ROMs.
