Hi spudair, I have a Hero and live in the UK. The biggest downside to owning this tablet is not having a local retailer to return your device to should it break or become faulty. I have a faulty bma250 accelerometer so I have to force rotate the screen via an app. Not ideal but liveable.
After saying that it is a very good tablet for £130-£140 and I would buy again. A major consideration when buying any tablet should be...
Does it have developer support? If so the tablet will have an unbricking technique should you mess up when flashing ROM's. If I was you I'd google the other tabets with words like: custom ROM, unbrick guide, hardware issue. This should give you an insite on other information the official releases don't mention.

Hope this helps you with your decisions.
