People say that this is impossible on an iPad and probably on an Android. Here is what I want to be able to do...I have developed an online "encyclopedia" based around a home page with links to webpages that have images, short movies and some pdf. Is it possible with the Android OS to copy this 3-5 GB folder of folders onto my tablet and be able to access it off line (when there is no wi-fi connection). And also, is there a way to play QuickTime movies on android at this time without having major work arounds. Thank you. Stuart

there are players that can play QT files and .mov files on Android, so that is possible. As for the rest of it, you can build an app that looks locally at data stores on Android, there are several apps like that out there already

I do this with PDF based truck manuals, some of which are in the gigs.
