Java For Sony Tablet S

I received the sony tablet s for christmas. Is it compatible with java? I like to play games on sites like yahoo but am unable to without java. I have made sure that the enable java box is marked. when I go to a game it says I need java but when I try to download it it says my system doesnt have the right requirements. thanks
