As long as the model of mfd supports SMB there should be no problem with copier scanning to tablet over wireless. May need to set permissions.

Probably easier if the mfd can scan to email. Just scan to your own email address as a PDF, TIFF, or JPEG file format. Then open gmail account and you'll find an attachment.

Cannons support DIrect printing from Androids to their printers (such as pixia pritners) via wifi. THey also support scannign from the printers scanner directly to the android via wifi. JUst need to app off the market place.
