Amazon has released a tablet version of Kindle for Android. Of course it's Honeycomb. I am running the latest Vegan ROM (version 7.0 Ginger Edition) which simply rocks. One of my most used apps is Kindle. This makes me wonder if this Kindle could be side-loaded. I seriously doubt that (I mean c'mon!) but thought I would ask anyway.

    Thanks!

I was able to download the new version from the Amazon Apple Store. The release notes claim that it was optimized for tablets. The only change I see is the splash page text: from, “Kindle for Android” to just “Kindle.”

The "tablet" optimization are for Honeycomb devices. You will only see the new features on Honeycomb tablets.
