KJT B887 V3.0 tablet - MID no name - VIA 8650 chipset

Hi,

I've got hold of a no-name, MID 7" tablet that just keeps stopping at the Android logo at startup. It says it's on OS 2.2 Kernal 2.6.32, Build v1.5.1 and when I opened it up to find out any more information I found that the inside was marked 'KJT B887 v3.0' and it has a VIA 8650 chipset.

I'd appreciate any advice that you can give relating to the manufacturer, as well as where I can get firmware and manuals for it as it came with no manuals.

I think it's bricked now. I found a firmware update that was recommended for this tablet and I installed it via the SD card. All went well with the update until it asked me to remove the card and tried to reboot - now all I get is a green power on light and a black screen. I've played Twister with my fingers trying every which way of combinations of buttons and I get zilch. All I can do now is turn the green power light on and off. ARRRGGHH!!
