Kyros model MID7026 confimed dead?

Hi Everyone. First post, and annoyed.


I ordered the Coby Kyros MID7026 from AAFES (Post Exchange, I'm in the Army) and after hearing that the Kyros MID7026 was delayed, I inquired as to a delivery date. Here is the reply I received:



Mar-San has advised the item X670P - TCHSCRN TBLT 7" KYRO INT BLK is End of Life model that is out of stock. The new model will be available to ship at the end of June. Do you wish to retain this order for the new model, or cancel for a refund? Please reply to this email so that I may advise the vendor of your choice.


So does this mean that the 7026 is dead? The X670P is the PX part number for the 7026. Wonder what's next. Anyone heard anything?

The 7024 is just barely released and the 7025 isn't out yet.

I believe at one time the rumor was the XX25 models were to get 2.3 while the XX26 models would have the capacitive screen and 2.3. With the 1024 having the capacitive screen perhaps Coby has rethought their marketing strategy?
