    Hi All,

Just to notify you all that the latest build update is coming through for Android HC 3.2.1 for tne A500.

    The new build is ACER_A500_7.014.15_COM_GEN1

First thing I noticed that the system comes up with a whole screen with graphic "DO NOT TURN OFF..."

The size of the update was 7.05MB. This is the second update today here in Australia. So the rest of you chaps can be expecting it soon.

    John

Nope, Douvie, we won't see it for four weeks
It takes that long for us in the USA to see it after you get it.

So keep us posted on what you see.

You're probably right Icebike. Mark today on calendar and let know how long before you get it.

Yeah the MARKET is still at 3.4.4 as per the other thread.
    ACERNIDUS is at 1.1.5
    MUSIC is at 4.1.511

    and still checking.

I've just been checking. It is mainly a ANDROID SYSTEM UPDATE and components associated with the HC OS.

The version was 3.2.1-1320755617 but is now updated to 3.2.1-1322191156 (after today's 7.05MB update).

Any file tied to that version number will be updated. Included was the sound recorder - which affects the mic - the media handling aps/sys modules, the ACER files which have the media content, the updaters, the WIFI module files, the html viewer, network config files, system ui, user dictionary.

    About 15 files in total.

Verdict so far - no problem so far.

I have the same version, 3.2.1-1322191156.

(The long number appended to the end is only visible by selecting Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / scroll to Android system and tap. It doesn't show in About Tablet.)

I received this update "3.2.1-1322191156" two weeks ago in the midwest.

I'm still not convinced that this all happened in one update - ie the latest one. As I said since the update from 3.2 to 3.2.1 some weeks ago, I've have received about 5 or 6 minor system updates to date. I get the feeling that HC is moving more towards ICS as each update arrives. I was just comparing my wife's A500 which did not have the latest updates to mine and my daughter's which have the updates.

    5 or 6. SINCE. 3.2.1??????!!! Damn

Wow. We in the USA got 2 back to back since 3.2.1, and that just happened recently.

Maybe they are experimenting on your tablet. :D

Yeah, hadn't thought about that. I've something like this with ULEAD where some update files were old than the version updated. Like I suggested earlier I suspect that HC is slowly being moved over to ICS and this seems to happen with each successive update. In fact I'm almost convinced because when ICS does come thru the final size of the update will not be as large as would be expected under a complete update.
