Lenovo A1 home button

My Lenovo a1 home and return buttons do not work unless I have the charger plugged in. Why is that?

I would susspect a app that is causing problems. A factory reset may be in order.

Did you
1. let Google automatically reinstall all your apps or
2. is it still the same on a fully stock device with only the Factory Reset done?

If the answer to 1 is yes then try it again without the apps.
If it is no to 1 & yes to 2, then you have an issue that needs Lenovo's warranty support, IMO
