I tried to search this forum for this question but got too many hits, and none of them were related to this question. Is it possible to install either the ipad mac os, windos xp (or even 2000 or 98 for that matter) or linux on an android tablet? I am talking about wiping the device clean of its original OS...but, on second thought, how about a dual boot?

If the Tablet is using an ARM processor core, you can find and load some versions of Linux. But NO iOS,OSX, or WinOS is available. Some Tablets do offer older vendor Firmwares of community ports of WinCE (5.0 or 6.0)

I've heard rumors about Apple moving the Mac over to ARM. Maybe by then they'll have a unified OS for desktops, notebooks, tablets and phones. If that happens, someone will probably figure out how to install it on other ARM based tablets.
