mid android google 2.2 tablet

I have a mid google 2.2 android tablet, it froze over the weekend. I tried to reset it but it does'nt do anything. When I powered it up it went to the first screen with the little man and the operating system. Does anyone know how to get it to work again, I am so lost without it.
