MID Android tablet help PLEASE!

My son just got a MID tablet from his grandparents. While it was plugged in and charging it suddenly turned off and we cannot get it back on..Is it broken? Is there something we need to do to get it back on?

I got same tablet today and when plugged in a red light comes on but will not turn on at all. Hopefully get some help on here too !

Mine has done the same thing. I cannot figure it out.
