@steev

The rom "flxrms" is good? There the bluetooth work? 3G too? Camera?

Is there any bug or is it perfect?

You need bluetooth dongle and 3g dongle. Camera works.

There is no such thing as perfect rom. It works in my 7024 and it maybe crap to you.

@flxrms

You just changed the rom coby to be better for you?
So, it is equal to the Coby but improved?

Thank you.

The rom i share is base on the newer android 2.2 of official 1024 rom. The official 7024 rom dont have bluetooth capability so i guess this is better.

I just added the overclock uboot.bin of 831 gingerbread and also added a 1 & 2gb internal memory for 4gb sdcard.

Just read my changelog its all there. Its like nobody knows how to backread threads. Kinda tired answering the same question.

Ok I downloaded and installed your rom. It's great! And it comes with root. But now, I'll change the Fingerprint her. I'll put the XOOM or Galaxy Tab

For those who will change yours, be careful not to change this line:

ro.board.platform = S5PC110

I changed mine and he died. But just updated it again and he returned to normal.

I had to kill him about 6 times to find this line that killed him.

------
Here's how it was mine:

# begin build properties
# autogenerated by buildinfo.sh
ro.build.id=HMJ37
ro.build.display.id=trygon-userdebug 3.1 HMJ37 124251 test-keys
ro.build.version.incremental=124251
ro.build.version.sdk=8
ro.build.version.codename=REL
ro.build.version.release=3.1
ro.build.date=Tue Apr 12 14:02:58 CST 2011
ro.build.date.utc=1302588178
ro.build.type=user
ro.build.user=android-build
ro.build.host=android-test-7.mtv.corp.google.com
ro.build.tags=test-keys
#ro.product.model=utv210
ro.product.brand=verizon
ro.product.name=trygon
ro.product.device=stingray
ro.product.board=tegra
ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a
ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi
ro.product.manufacturer=Motorola
#ro.product.locale.language=hdpi
#ro.product.locale.region=
ro.wifi.channels=
ro.board.platform=s5pc110
# ro.build.product is obsolete; use ro.product.device
ro.build.product=stingray
# Do not try to parse ro.build.description or .fingerprint
ro.build.description=trygon-user 3.1 HMJ37 124251 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/trygon/stingray:3.1/HMJ37/124251:user/release-keys

Also, if you change this line:

ro.build.version.sdk = 8

You can run some applications that do not work but can not let others work.

Do some tests and see which is best.

See ya.

Ok.What CFW are you using? I'm downloading the V2. It is better than the first one you posted?

And another thing, you know the notifications bar, so she is stuck. There's no way to leave it unlocked?

And the Galaxy tab Fingerprint? Is good?

Can you give me your configurations?

See ya!

Android 2.2 for Kyros 7024 base on the 20110516.191834 Build from Kyros 1024 firmware.

Flxrms I update my Kyros and he just stays locked in the coby and does not update. Can you help me?

I've hung up and tried again and it does not update at all.

flxrms, i just installed V2 and that went fine. i had the tab 'open' so i took out the old/original microhcsd card and placed it aside and replaced it with a faster, 8GB, formatted with fat32. i saw that it needs 'root' so i ran the root.bat. um, it did not work.
........
here is the capture from the batch run:

not sure what happened but looks like my adb is old version..

i'm also planning to replace the 4gb internal card to 8gb or 16...
any case since you installed a 8GB sdcard you can try this 8gb mbr

https://rapidshare.com/files/3198064205/8G.zip
this 8gb mbr you can use 1.8Gb or 2.5gb or 3gb internal memory..just choose replace the utscript.sh and copy the data_8g.mbr and delete sd_mbr.dat

also steeve provided a patch for rooting..i havent tested it yet :)

Flxrms when using the fonix utscript....I understand replace utscript.sh and then delete sd_mbr.dat....but do I also need to rename data_8g.mbr(i.e 3gb) I choose back to sd_mbr.dat

$Snap1.jpgit did it again, and winzip is my default. but then i just tried 7zip and it likes it and works... my winzip is version 15.5 and i've been been keeping it up for ten years. today it is not in sync.

the 8G inside is a rar acchive but with no .rar extension ? i peeked inside of it with textpad. so i 7zip open up the archive inside the archive.

I have a MID8024 and I want do some mods just for 3G and Bluetooth work.
Could you give some tips about what I have to change in 8024's OFW to get what I want?
BTW, What is fingerprint?

Thanks.
Ops: I guess we all have to thank to Coby too, right? They released the OFW that allows all this mods. Am I wrong? If I am, sorry:confused:

Positivo is dead now!!!!;)
