I am not familiar with your tablet. Can you boot into recovery? On many android devices, you do this by holding down the volume "up" key and the "power" button at the same time.

Some use "volume down" and power, and others use all three.

    Lets start here!

My tablet doesn't have an sd card. What happens when connected to computer? Does pc recognize tablet? You may need to download a recovery on pc and transfer it to sd card. If you get a proper recovery, you can restore to factory settings and retry a ROM.

This may sound dumb, but you said it "powers off"....Are you sure it is fully charged? Many tablets do not natively charge from pc. Try plugging it into wall outlet (use cord that came with it!) for a few hours. May not be charged enough to do anything.

    Solved following this portoguese guide...
Translate in your language with google translate!

OK I don't know but google translates this weirldy :).

1 - download the original firmware on the website of cobyusa.com
    2 - Take 2 Memory Card
3 - put the original firmware on the card formatted in FAT32 4GB internal always
4 - the 2nd card put the same firmware, but with a difference, make a copy of the file "u-boot" and rename it to "u-boot-sd", leave the two files on the card and mostof the remaining files .
    5 - the following happened:
you turn on the tablet it does not find the boot in NAND, it searches the external card, the external card orders go to the intern, and then updates the coby.

So I need two memory cards on one I put on the normal update and one with the u-boot-sd. The thing is i cannot turn it on as you did so even witht he card inserted the device just turns off when I let got off the power button.

    Please help.

I can't understand how this solved your problem. I have the same problem on my Allview 2 (it is a MID8024), I tried 10 times, but it doesen't do anything. It stays on that black screen with the touch button leds light and than shuts down... Can you say something more than this tutorial? What kind of microSd you used for external?
