MID8042 Need help with downloading apps & browser

Hi, i assume your tablet is stock, so you need to install the CUSTOM ROM which has google apps and of course google play (formerly android market), here's the link [ROM] Custom ROM for Coby Kyros 8042 - Rooted, Google Apps, Google Play, i recommend you load the rom, cause an android device without android market, gmail, etc.. is pretty useless, if you need any help, just write.

I just bought this model coby 8042, and this is my first tablet. I do have an Iphone, and this is so much different. I feel like throwing this thing out the window. I pulled up this thread on my tablet and i tried clicking on the links above to download the livesuite and the other link and I am not having any luck. All I have on this stupid thing to get apps is getjar, which is a joke. I want to be able to purchase good apps, and have a facebook app, and netflix...is this even possible. I am starting to dread my purchase. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you want Google apps, you can do one of two things:
- Install a custom ROM, as already mentioned.
- Follow the directions given in the http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/coby-generation-3-development/45321-development-index.html thread to root the tablet, install the custom recovery image, and then install the Google Apps themselves.
