mobile sites

Sick of mobile sites.... how do u turn these off with the native browser..

About:debug automatically changes to about:dedug. ????

Sick of these mobile sites that skip all that I want

when you do "about:debug" it will appear that nothing happens. However, when you click the menu icon (top right corner of the screen), you see some more options.

You are suppose to be able then to click settings, and there will be a debug option. Click that, then select "UAString". From here choose "Desktop".

Back out of everything, then type "about:debug" in the address bar again.


I will say though, I have seen some sites that continue to dump me into their mobel sites, even though I have set this. But, then others I'm getting to the normal site. Not sure what that is about...

UPDATE: When going to a site, make sure you type the normal sites address. For example, if you want to go to USPS.com, type: www.usps.com

If you do not include the "www", the browser will automatically try the mobile site, regardless of the setting change above.

Just found this out.

That's a GREAT tip, ithink2020. You should add it to that section (hopefully we can make it a sticky once it fleshes out...)
