So this is a really stupid question, but for the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how to make the menu that contains the rescan/refresh button (down the right side of the screen) appear. I usually end up tapping around randomly and eventually it shows up, but there has to be a better way.

Why don't you use a different player like the MX player. It is free and can play movies with many different formats. You can download it from google play

Welcome to the forum Toot!

I too abandoned Mobo for MX Player. Give it a whirl. The biggest advantage is that it uses hardware acceleration to play most formats. Mobo uses software on the TF101 so it is much more limited in the files it can play smoothly.

I'd love an answer to the OP's question as well. There may be better players, but I'm accustomed to Mobo and generally like the interface -- if only I could get that menu to show up when I wanted it.
