Since my internet has been down and all I can do is tether with my laptop, My A500 has become my movie and music player only for now LoL But I was told by someone at bestbuy there is a good app for a movie player where you don't have to use mp4. Can anyone tell me if this is true? I don't mind using nero to convert but if there is something better I would like to know where to look. Thanks!

Get Mobo Player- https://market.android.com/details?id=com.clov4r.android.nil&feature=search_result
it adds a bunch of other 'codecs' making avi/divx/xvid, mkv and other video formats playable. It might ask you to download and additional codec package if it's having trouble playing your particular video- https://market.android.com/details?id=com.clov4r.android.nil.armv7_vfpv3&feature=search_result . You DON'T need to install it until it asks.

I watched an xvid copy of Tron last night- looked and sounded great. Played flawlessly, but needed the addition codecs which Mobo asked me to do before there was any sign of trouble- very nice!

Hope this helps, enjoy!
