Much talk about the Battery has been posted everywhere what I did with the V711

I returned the V711 and reordered the V712
Yes I read bad battery life for both
But the V711 I did these things
Turned off Notices
Turned off notices for all Apps individual ( you can do this in JB)
Installed Power Master by Go
turned off phone, gps, ringer, Data
all that is left is WiFi
Turned off wifi when using out of range during day to read
Dim screen with brightness widget
Indoors 50%
in car 90%

All this made a big difference

I also re calibrated the battery

I will try all of this again with the V712 I hope it works as well as with the V711 ( my V711 had a screen issue)

Hi DRFP. All those adjustments for power use are sensible and there is no reason why this should not work for the V712 too also. Good luck!

I propose that for now on when someone posts about Battery life describe use and tell us what you are doing? We need to know if you are playing 3d games, surfing Downloading, Streaming, watching videos? ALLthis makes a difference in battery life too, At this time all tablets will have a shorter battery life when using the graphics card more, graphics is power hungry. Screen brightness helps less than 50% of the power drain on my tests, WIFI is a big consumption, as is Videos and gaming, using it for reading the least with surfing only next

We should find ways to use the battery best, to be slim and light these tablets sacrifice a huge battery its a trade off in 2013, by next year battery tech may be different
