My Android Tablet Thinks its American

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can set a location in my Android tablet's version of Chrome? I bought a Lenovo S5000 at Christmas, and when I go on any money supermarket type sites, it gives me the prices in dollars, which makes it a bit tricky when working out holiday prices etc. Likewise, any sites that automatically search for a regional used location - BBC, MSN - assume I'm in New York.

Next, I expect it'll start talking to me with a transatlantic drawl, which would be charming but impractical.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers :)

Hi computer_world, welcome to the forum. In the settings for Chrome, Advanced - Content settings - Location settings - Location Services allows you to enable Google Location Reporting, try turning it on to see if that fixes it.

Thanks Spider. Appreciate your help. I already have location settings turned on. I've just tried travel supermarket on my tablet's own browser and it gives prices In pounds, so it seems to be a problem with Chrome.
