Need help in upgrading

Hello Guys...this is my first post here..
i got a cheap android tablet running on Froyo
and i have heard that...there are some ways to upgrade it to newer version of android.

is that true..?
and yea...that should i do it..?

Hello guys...i am new to all this thing
and i got a beetel magiq II which is an upgraded version of huawei ideos s7

so it has got android 2.2 in it..
so i was wondering...is there a way to upgrade to some high android version...like gignerbread or something..?
and please help me to make the most of it...
cuz i wud love to make it an awesome one to use..

I don't know of any official updates to 2.3 for the s7 . There are a few people test a custom Rom for 2.3 now. It's still buggy as of now. I wouldn't hold out hope for gingerbread now that ics is available.

What I mean is since the ics source code was released that most devs are working to get that running.

Sorry, as far as I know ics isn't available for the s7.
