Project:

nook Tablet
Root it
install JB (Jelly Bean) Rom

I'm following this tutorial vvv

Nook Tablet 1.4.3 complete root guide for 8or16gb to GB and JB - xda-developers

I'm using the 2 card method from the tutorial

I am stuck on step 14, here is an excerpt

AT THIS POINT REMOVE 4GB or smaller SD CARD (if you opted to only use one SD card at this point you would use the 4gb and do step 12. Using it then proceed to step 14)

14. PLACE THE NEW NEW or reformatted SD card WITH THE ROM ZIP FILES WE JUST MADE.
Use the volume buttons on the NT and

Tab down to install zip from SD card and hit the “hard“ (n) button on the bottom center (actually right center when holding horizontal) of the NT to select.

Select choose zip from sd card and and and hit the “hard“ (n) button on the bottom center (actually right center when holding horizontal) .

when I select choose zip from sd card and hit the hard n it says "no files found"

Any help would be mucho appreciated.

if this helps anyone I am already rooted.

but when it comes time to load up all the jb stuff and gapps it says file not found,

I have used 2 different cards to rule out if it is a bad card situation.

I guess where I am at now is loading up the JB?

okay so now time to understand what I am doing.....

So I guess it looks like the CWM is a recovery tool,
It looks like this is what allows us to extract zips on a linux based kernel?

 • Clockwork: Developer of the ClockworkMod custom recovery mode for Android
Check! got that done and understood.

now this Cyanogen mod business....

 • Cyanogen: The online handle of one Steve Kondik, relatively famous in the hacking and modding community and the creator of the CyanogenMod series of ROMs.
okay I'll have to learn more on that later....

any thoughts?

STEP: 14

Now no matter what rom you will end up with first choose cm-7-TEAM-B-BETA1-signed zip, and hit the “hard“ (n) button on the bottom center (actually right center when holding horizontal)

cm-7-TEAM-B-BETA1-signed zip is the file I next need to install but it says file not found...any thoughts from the tablet community?

okay I am starting to think my problem is IMAGE

in the tutorial he doesnt say to create a second image in his 2nd sd card preparations,

he merely states that you wipe full erase the larger 16gb card

and drag n drop the cm7 and gapps that are ZIPPED

and drag n drop the JB and Gapps UNZIPPED into the prepped sd card.....Folks am I on the right track here?

Update:

I found the problem....wait for it...

faulty connection from nook data cable/charger

when the connection is faulty ClockWorkMod wont read the external SD card,
I'm guessing something to do with like when you flash it has to have
a continuous power supply as not to be interrupted in the middle of flashing by critically low power lvls.

So I was able to load the files.....YAY ME!
