How come I get the feeling netflix isn't going to be available to the acer a500 owners? Is it even available for the A100 3.2 crowd?

There is already a thread on this.

It is strictly up to netflix when it will be available on any given device. Its probably easier for them to wait till 3.2 is available
than to build releases for many different OS versions in addition to already building for each brand.

Ice is correct to a point. Netfilx has to approve every device before they will make it available.

And maybe they don't want to approve the Acer because of he Write capability to MicroSD and USB? Nahhhhh, that's just my tin foil hat talking.

Also the other thread reports mixed results with getting netflix installed on a rooted Acer. So if desperate, one could go that route.

Nahhhh is correct because with the Boxee Box you can connect an External HD & Flash Card. But certainly their concern is having the ability to copy their streaming content.
