Now, I know its fiarly easy with mobile phones to root, install a custom rom, or flash the latest firmware, but whats it like to do on tablets? I say this because i have a GS3, and simly go to samfirmware.com if i want to download the latest firmware, or head over to XDA if i want to find a new rom. Because there are so many different makes and models of tablets, how do you go about rooting and flashing a custom rom, or simply updating the firmware betfore an OTA firmware release?

Say for example, I buy a Huawei Media Pad 10 running ICS, how would i know when (or even how to update) to JB, or if infact it will ever get it? Does Odin and CWM still exist in the tablet world and used as heavily as in the mobile world?
