Newby Android tablet M70007T user with stupid question

I just purchased a M70007T tablet running Android 2.2 from Geeks.Com. It's my first tablet and my first exposure to Android.

I'm a mainframe programmer, and I consider myself at least somewhat technological, but I can't figure this out.

I'm trying to connect the tablet to my wifi at home, and I have to key in the password.

How do I get a keyboard to appear on the screen so I can do so?

tap in the space where you are supposed to put the input and a keyboard should pop up. If that doesn't, go to Settings->Language and Keyboard and check to see that you have one selected.
