Nextbook Premium 8: Operating System upgrade

Hi all.


I see Nextbook Premium 8's being advertised with Ice Cream Sandwich (4.x) but mine, purchased only a couple of months ago, has Android 2.3. Is there a way to upgrade the Nextbook Premium 8 from 2.3 to 4.x?


Also...

Can anyone recommend a good app for showing a wide range of system configuration all in one place, such as Operating System, RAM, presence of SD-card and size, resolution, and so on?

try sellers website or do a search for nextbook ics. If you can get it on the tab now , someone has the upgrade somewhere.

I have the same tablet, Android 2.3.1. I went to XDA Developers and found a ROM and instructions for upgrading to Android 4.0.4. The instructions do make the assumption that you are familiar with ROMs, but were clear enough, just make sure to read ALL the instructions FIRST, and BACKUP FIRST.
