    Hi,

this is my first post on this forum and I'm hoping someone can help.

I am installing the nexus 7 in my car as a car pc - the only issue I have is that once it is installed it will be extremely difficult to reach the on/off switch for the screen.

My question is, is it possible to use an NFC tag that I could hold near the Tablet that would cause it to turn the screen on?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum!

If you are installing it in your car, is it going to be connected to power via USB? If so, is the power switched with the ignition? If yes, then it should not be an issue as applying power should turn the screen on.

Yes it is being powered via usb but the cigarette lighter is on constantly. I could install a relay though that would only power the usb socket when the ignition was on. I was Hoping there would be a rule I could set via a NC tag though.
