I have a nexus 7 and I rooted to 4.2.1 and then I updated to 4.2.2 when it came out forgetting that I was rooted.... Is there a new root out for 4.2.2 or how can I become rooted again.

Be sure to install the OTA Rootkeeper and backup the root. Then when you update you should be able to restore root.

I am pretty sure you should be able to root again using almost the exact same method as before, but check at Nexus7Nexus10.net or the Nexus 7 section of xda.
