No 3 or 4G support?

Why does this Thrive have no 3/4G support? Everything looks good with it, except this obvious feature lacking in it... I fear that it wont thrive without it..

It depends on your point of view. I have had my G-Tablet for 6 months and have never needed 3/4g. when I need mobile data I tether to my phone, the rest of the time I use whatever Wifi is available. For many people this is more than worth the lower price for the tablet, as well as not getting locked into a provider contract and monthly access fee.

Take a look at the tablet arena right now. The first Android Tablet device to hit the US mass market was the Augen Gentouch78 last July, and now we have over 100 different tablets and have had multiple OS revs. I personally would be REALLY ticked if I had signed a contract that locked me to either a provider or device 12 months ago, and I don't see things slowing down for at least another 6 months.
