No Java for Android

As I understand Java cannot be dowloaded to Android devices.

I would like to use chat on some web sites that require Java.
Is there a way to overcome this?

Jave scipts are seen by Android just fine and all the sites I visit that use Java work. But you are correct, you can't install Java like you would on a PC. You may want to go to a store and check that site out on a demo tablet.
