no sound from headphone jack

I'm new here my problem is my kindle fire hd 7 inch is my headphone jack is not working not sure what's wrong with it was working before but stopped working if anyone can help me out thanks

Hi Raymond199483. Have you checked the volume level on your Kindle? Have you tried your headphones on another device? Are the the headphones fully inserted into the headphone jack on the Kindle? Answer these few questions and also check any settings to do with sound on your device. If you find the headphones work on another device and you cannot get any sound out of your Kindle at all (internal speaker?) Then you should probably contact your retailer for service advice.

Yes I tryed everything for some reason it died on me I have 4 pairs of headphones and a plugin speaker dock I have tryed pluging it in my Sony cfd g700cp but no luck
