No sound on my newsmyt3 tablet

I was using my tablet on the BBC web page and I was trying to hear audio. BBC said that they are not international so they would'nt let me hear audio. After more of my persistence they 'x'ed there audio. After giving up, I could not hear audio anywhere I went. I noticed on my sound/volume board my speakers had slash marks on them. If they were remotely muted, how do I turn them back on? I hope I can get help. Otherwise, I'll have to use my tablet as a 'reader'. Thanks.

The 'no sound' on my Newsmy tablet has been remedied. There is a MUTE button on the outer edge of the tablet. My tablet has three buttons on the opening edge of the tablet. I just happened to push the top button and VOILA! the slash marks were instantly removed and (with earphones on) sound blared out. After a silent week I am relieved. For those with 'no sound', check on the outer edge of your device for the buttons and you may say VOILA! too
