I have just picked up one of the new Chinese netbooks via 8650 with android 2.2. I wanted a small book to carry on trips to be used for email and watching videos. The past week has given me the means to reload android 2.2 when it freezes. However, I have not been able to get the machine to read videos from a usb hdd 500gigabyte. Does anyone have the solution to this? I have an SD disk on order (32gig) which I will try.

Just to be clear, by read you mean see them. That would be a common problem with external HDs that the tablet doesn't provide enough power to use the drive. You can try plugging in the tablet's power at the same time, if possible, but that may not help either.
