optimum capacity SD card?

Hi, I've just bought my 1st android tablet (BQ Curie 2: running Android 4.1.1; 16 Gb). It has an SD slot and my question is: Is there an optimum capacity after which a higher capacity card might slow down my tablet? For example, would a 64 Gb card slow down my tablet compared to putting in a 32 Gb card? Or does it simply not matter? Thanks for any help.

Hi Simon, congratulations on your new BQ Curie 2 tablet and welcome to the forum. Nice of you to become a member of Android Tablets. The size of a MSD doesn't matter as far as performance is concerned. The Class of the card is the determining factor. You should get at least a Class 4 card if you plan to put videos/movies on the card to assure smooth playback.
