Hiya,
My daughter and I both have iRULU 7" tablets. She has busted her power cord ;/

I have an old powercord that will supply 5.2v and 400 ma that will fit, the original power cords are 5v 1800 ma.

Can I use the 5.2v x 400 ma or will this fry her tablet?

Thanks,
Brandon

Welcome to the forum

Are you asking about the power cord or the charger?

That makes sense. It's commonly called a wallwart, (but I don't know why). The answer is that it probably won't fry the tablet but it would charge very slowly. Tablets can usually adjust to the higher voltage.

Theoretically, it will take 4½ times as long to charge with the replacement charger. Since you both have the same tablet, why not share the charger that works? Better yet, get another with the same specs.

My EM 7" DoPo will not charge at all. It tells me to connect the charger and I do and it will not recognize that it is plugged in. I used the factory charger and 1 that came w/ my son's tablet. Help!

The problem may be the cable or worst case the charging port or charging circuit. Try plugging it into a running PC for > 5 hours and see if the battery level goes up any.
