You down load the app on your pc and put it on the sd card, navigate to it and tap it, it will step you through the install. If you have a market app on the pandigital use it to find your desired apps and just tap and download them and they install themselves.
Some black units run android 1.6 so a lot of apps won't work on it. If an app does not work, sometimes you can find other versions of the same app that will work.
