Please help save this little PDN

Could somebody please tell me why this PDN will work fine and then decide one day to not start up, or even recognize the plug-in/battery. This happened once before and I tried to start it up and little did I know that after a certain amount of attempts it went back to the factory settings and I lost everything on it. Please help this little PDN because the next stop is the Trash!!!! I'm Over It!!!

Ok well I just got off the phone with Pandigital tech support (very helpful by the way). So this is the little trick they told me to do. "At the same time hold down the + side of the volume and the power button for 15 seconds. then wait for about 20 seconds and repeat if needed". When I tried, it took 2 times. It then booted up and all my stuff was still there...Woo Hoo!! If that didn't work then they said to "Please Call Back . I hope it works for you, it seem to for me.
