Polaroid PMID702c USB hosting?

As the title states, I'm looking for confirmation whether or not this Polaroid tab supports USB hosting...I find conflicting info on the web. I'm trying to use the tablet with a USB/OBD2 adapter and an app called Torque (for auto engine diagnostic/monitoring) as the tab does not support Bluetooth.

When I try to connect the adapter (use the USB/obd2 adapter + USB/micro USB adapter that was advertised as OTG), the torque all does not reconize the adapter.

The obd2/USB adapter (it's an Elm 327) does work...I have Bluestacks and if I use the cable on my laptop and run the Torque app in the Bluestacks emulator, it works fine.

So, a few questions.
1- how can I tell if my USB/micro USB adapter truly is a OTG adapter, and not falsely advertised as so?
2- does the PMID702c even support USB hosting?
3- and if not, can a driver or a rom/other hack add it? Or is the hosting done via te tablets hardware or firmware? I'm clueless on the technical side of USB related matters

Thanks in advance!
