Hey guys I am currently trying to port cm9 for the mid1042. At the moment I am pulling /system from the device. I will also use this thread just in case I need help. Peace.

Ok so I did fail but I am working on a ROM based off stock. It will include a theme chooser that I made so you will be able to change the status bar background/ battery icon/holo-dark background...etc. Also It will come with gapps and root. Maybe some other things as well. Its pretty freaking awesome so you will not be disapointed.
